XI JEL. Barcelona 2015.
Last 1st, 2nd and 3rd of July the XI Jornadas de Economía Laboral were hold in Bellaterra, organized by the Departament d´Economia Aplicada at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. The conference achieved a great success both in terms of organization and in attendance of researchers. Prior to the plenary sessions it was also taught a course in econometrics by Professor Luis A. Gil-Alaña (University of Navarra).
The first plenary session, given by Professor Marco Vivarelli (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore), marked the beginning of two days of fruitful feedback of ideas based on the papers discussed by the numerous Spanish and foreign reseachers attending the conference. It is also worth mentioning the success achieved in the collaboration with the Italian Association of Labour Economists (AIEL) through the participation of various members of the AIEL in diverse parallel sessions, which ensures the continuation of the link between these organizations in the future. The round table speeches by professors Claudio Lucifora (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore) and Rafael Domenech (University of Valencia) closed this edition of the conference, again characterized by generating a friendly and conducive environment to the debate of ideas among professionals of labour economics, particularly stimulating for those researchers that start their career in this field.
